    Exam Pattern

    The Bihar BPSC exam comprises of following levels:

    1. Preliminary Exam
    2. Mains Exam
    3. Interview

    1. Preliminary Exam

    The exam comprises of one section and its complete details are as follows:

    • Duration: 2 Hours
    • Maximum Marks: 150
    • Number of Questions: 150
    • Type: Objective (Multiple Choice Questions)
    • Marking: 1/4th of marks is deducted for each wrong answer.
    • Qualification: This is a screening test conducted to shortlist candidates for mains examination. Marks scored in this exam shall not be counted for selection to further stages.

    2. Mains Examination

    The exam comprises of Five papers  and its complete details are as follows:

    • Type: Subjective except Optional paper( MCQ’s)
    • Qualification: Selected candidates shall appear for interview.

    3. Interview

    • This test shall Assess personality, knowledge, and suitability for administrative roles

    Merit: This will be prepared on basis of total marks of 1020 i.e mains (900 marks) and interview marks (120 Marks).
